Privacy Policy
Privacy Policy
Nova Velora ("we", "us", "our") operates this store and website. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over it.
By using this site or placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this policy.
1. Information we collect
- Contact details — your name, email address, phone number, billing address and shipping address.
- Order information — the items you view, add to your cart or purchase, and your order, return and refund history.
- Payment information — processed directly by our payment providers. We receive confirmation of payment and the last four digits of your card. We never see or store your full card number.
- Account information — your username, password and saved preferences, if you create an account.
- Communications — the content of emails and support messages you send us.
- Device and usage information — your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, referring pages, and how you navigate our site, collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies.
2. How we use your information
- To process your order, take payment, arrange shipping and handle returns and refunds.
- To send you order confirmations, shipping notifications and service messages.
- To answer your questions and provide customer support.
- To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
- To improve our products, our site and your shopping experience.
- To send you marketing emails, where you have opted in or where permitted by law. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any marketing email.
- To measure and improve our advertising, including showing you relevant ads on other platforms.
- To comply with our legal obligations and enforce our terms.
3. Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only with parties who need it to run our business:
- Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf.
- Payment processors, to take and secure your payment.
- Fulfilment partners and shipping carriers, who need your name and delivery address to ship your order and provide tracking.
- Analytics and advertising providers, such as Google and Meta, which may receive device and usage data to measure and target advertising. Depending on where you live, this may be treated as "sharing" or a "sale" for targeted advertising purposes under your local law, and you may opt out — see section 6.
- Email and customer support tools we use to communicate with you.
- Legal and safety recipients — law enforcement, regulators or courts, where we are legally required to disclose information or need to protect our rights.
Each of these providers is permitted to use your information only to perform services for us.
4. Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and measure our advertising. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, but some parts of the site — including checkout — may not work correctly without them.
If you visit our site with the Global Privacy Control signal enabled, we treat it as a valid opt-out request for the browser and device you are using, where the law requires us to.
5. International transfers
Nova Velora is based in Australia and works with service providers and fulfilment partners in other countries, including the United States. Your personal information may therefore be transferred to, stored in and processed in countries outside your own, whose data protection laws may differ from those where you live.
Where we transfer personal information out of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we rely on recognised safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, or the UK equivalent, unless the destination country has been recognised as providing adequate protection.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your personal information.
- Receive a portable copy of your information and have it transferred to another provider.
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information for targeted advertising, and of certain automated profiling.
- Object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before you withdrew it.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at verchpouncey@gmail.com. We may need to verify your identity before we act on your request, and we will respond within the timeframe required by the law that applies to you. You may also authorise an agent to make a request on your behalf, with proof of that authorisation.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information for as long as we need it to provide the Services to you, and afterwards for as long as required to meet our legal, tax, accounting and record-keeping obligations, to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements. When it is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymise it.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, and our checkout runs on Shopify's PCI-compliant, encrypted payment infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information to us over unsecured channels.
9. Children
Our Services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first — we would like the chance to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Australia, that is the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal or operational reasons. We will post the revised version on this page and update the date below.
